Hello everyone. I have the chance to buy this katana. The seller says it was brought back by a family member from the war. Just want your thoughts in its authenticity before I buy. Sorry in advance for the bad pics. This is what the seller sent me. I believe the nakago is signed “nagayoshi”

Found this tanto at a store and I took a chance on it. Is it authentic? I don’t see a signature unfortunately

Hello everyone! I have the chance to buy this sword but unfortunatly I can’t see the tang. Just want your thought based on what you see if it could be authentic or a reproduction. Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone, I have the chance to buy this Wakizashi. It has some paperwork with it. I was wondering if anyone could translate it for me

Hey all, a seller has this copper handle NCO for sale, but I’m not sure of its authenticity. I don’t think the saya is correct for it. But I guess that could be a battlefield pickup. What are your thoughts? Is it authentic or a fake?
-
Okay! But I don’t think it extends to the other side!

Hey everyone! I believe this is an authentic civil gunto. It’s Mumei but it’s compete. The seller seems honest. He says it has a small “fissure” on the edge of the blade and I have included pics. The questions I have are, is this a fatal flaw? Is the tassel authentic? Any thoughts would be helpful!

Hey everyone! I’ve never owned one of these last ditch pineapple grip NCO swords. Just wanting expert opinion before I buy to make sure it’s authentic! From my untrained eyes, it looks like the serial numbers match too. Thanks for your help!

Authentic katana?

Hey All, this katana is for sale locally but I’m not sure about its authenticity. The koshirae are obviously not right, and the handle unfortunately can’t be removed without damaging it. Some things I’ve studied about the blade….The nagasa is 27 inches, Iori-mune, it has a pronounced shinogi-ji, and curiously, my untrained eyes don’t see a yokote on the kissaki. Any help or education you could give me about this blade would be helpful! Just wanted to get your thoughts on the blade itself. Is there a chance it’s authentic?

Hey all! I got this sword but I’m not exactly sure what I got. The saya is not gunto but the rest of the mounts are. do you think it’s authentic or fake? If real, do you think traditional made it mass produced? Thanks in advance!

Hey all! I have the chance to buy this sword but I have some concerns about it. Do you guys think it’s real or fake?

Hey everyone! I just wanted to get your thoughts on this sword. It doesn’t have any paperwork so I thought I might have more trained eyes give me an opinion. Do we think the attribution to tatara nagayuki is accurate? in my research,“Nagayuki work displays a powerful O-Choji Midare of the Ichimonji School, Hiraki-Gunome-Choji Midare and Koshi no Hiraita Midare similar to Sue-Bizen Yosozaemon Sukesada. The hamon is generally based on nioi-deki, but not a pure nioi-deki as a hint of nie can be seen. He was also one of the few smiths that was able to produce Utsuri during the Shinto period.” Any opinions on this piece would be appreciated!

Ah! So it’s a navy blade in army mounts?

Hello all! I have the opportunity to buy this sword. The seller says that his grandfather brought it back from the war. It would be easier if the seller would take the handle off but he is hesitant, so I have to make the best guess I can. To my (untrained) it looks like it is authentic and could have a traditionally made blade, but I’m looking for other opinions please. Any opinions would be helpful. Seller did measure the blade and the nagasa is approximately 26 inches. The habaki looks authentic, the into wrap looks authentic, the koshirae look real to me. But the tassle makes me nervous and the seppa does too
