I have been told to take my wakasashi to a shinsha. I looked on a website and it says it won't pass if it has a chip and mine has 1 or 2 tiny chips. So I was wondering if there's anywhere in the UK that could validate it? Here are some pics and anymore info on the sword would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have been offered this sword. Is it a wakishashi? I collect swords but not samurai swords so have no idea. He says he thinks its ww2 era but looks newer to me. These are the only photos I have so appriciate any info with pics provided.

Hi all, I am looking for more info on this sword. I collect swords but this is my first Japanese sword so I am new to this community. The guy I brought it off had it validated by a sword specialist and that's where the tag with information is from. I'm just looking for a second input.
