  2. Can anyone make out the Mei?
  3. Sorry for the blurry photos. It’s what the seller sent me. Could anyone translate?
  4. Any guesses if Gimei or real signature?
  5. Can anyone help with the translation of this Mei? Thanks!
  6. The nakago on this katana is pitted and worn, but there is a signature. Can anyone make out any of it?
  7. William,

I just discovered your discussion of the Okimasa sword. Frankly, I think that blade looks collectible.

BUT, the main reason I write is because I see you are in Arkansas. I AM TOO. I live in Litt;e Rock!. I still have some swords and I like to talk swords  if the might be a way of getting together I'd like that a lot. I've been collecting for like 60 years and I still have some sword we could look at. My phone number is 402-440-2736. I hope top hear from you!

  8. @PNSSHOGUN teach me. I was obviously concerned about the tassel and the habaki is odd. What else is wrong?
  9. This was something I plan on purchasing. The seller says it is a star stamped gendaito made by Okimitsu. What do yall think?
  10. I would agree on edo for the fittings, and possibly Koto on the blade. But I’m sure others who know more will be able to give more information
  11. Can anyone tell me if this tassel is authentic or a modern reproduction?
  12. Hello everyone. I was hoping you might be able to help me figure out this Waki. The owner says that it doesn’t have any paperwork, but he says the saya attributes it to Mino Kanemitsu. He says the saya was attributed by a “Dr Kanzan”. He thinks it’s Sue mino but also think the hamon is similar to Saint Wasamono Kanemoto. What does the saya say? What do you guys think?
  13. Hello experts! I am definately not an expert on these Kai gunto, having never owned one. I know they were made with stainless steel to avoid rust and I know they are commonly faked. Does this one look authentic? Thanks in advance for your help!
  14. Can anyone make this one out?
