Hey, Ive got a few items that im not sure exactly what they are. From my understanding, the paper is A sword rubbing, ink tracing (Oshigata). Is anything of significant value on this paper? The other thing looks like a small box with glass vials all labeled and the box is labeled as well. What does these say?

First of all thank you guys for the prompt responses. I do appreciate your knowledge! The Nakago is thinner in appearance than the one on that link you sent where it has less taper, but the shape is comparable to most swords I’ve seen. I’ve included better pictures of the tip to observe the boshi, and also a few additional photos. No papers with this one. -

Hey, I’m trying to learn more about this sword and the translation on the tang. blade measures 17.5” tip to notch and 22.4” tip to tang overall appears to be in great condition and mounted in old Japanese shira-saya -
Thanks, I’ll have to do some reading on that because I’ve never heard of it. Looks interesting. Thank you for the information! @DTM72 From Greenville, SC

Hey, I’ve got this Shin Gunto that was broughtback and been sitting in a case for most of its time back. It doesn’t have a scabbard. Blade is somewhat rough. The tang is rusted but well marked. I’m looking to get more info on the sword and translation on the markings. Thanks in advance.

Thank you very much for the translation. How rough would you say this blade is? It’s got a visible straight hamon but looks to have some lines on it from something.
