Iaido dude

I’m a Chinese-American physician-scientist with a long-time and abiding passion for Japanese and Southeast Asian cultures and their expression of zen buddhist practice—especially as it relates to the samurai martial arts and associated weapons arts. I practice both iaido and kyudo. I also restore guitars of all types. I compose music on piano and guitar. My other collecting interests seem to focus on mechanical objects of functional and artistic value and that require exceptional skill and ingenuity to invent and make with simple tools. These include vintage fountain pens, watches, lighters, zen paintings and calligraphy (pre-17th century), and musical instruments.
