For sale is an antique Japanese nihonto wakizashi sword by Yamato no kami Fujiwara Kanekura 大和守藤原金蒧.
Please find attached detailed pictures of the wakizashi I would like to sell. The pictures give a comprehensive impression of the beauty and craftsmanship.
Kanekura's works are extremely rare.
According to Homma Kunzan Junji, there were no works by this smith in Japan for a long time, until later finds confirmed his well-known craftsmanship. Only a few examples were known, including one in the renowned collection of Dr.
Compton and another in the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston (MFA). Since then, there have been several finds of Kanekura's craftsmanship.
