It won't let me add the other pictures I have, says the files are too big. He has the sword and sheath and the sheath still has rings attached. I'll try to get different pictures next time I visit in a few days. I didn't see anything stamped ot cut into it other than the original picture I posted.

I'm looking for help with translating or identifying the markings on in this picture. They are on the tang of what we believe to be a WWII sword, possibly an NCO's sword that my father-in-law's family brought back. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
