Hello Ford My first thought was Choshu. Could it be a possibility ? if not, what are the criteria that disqualifies Choshu ? Thanks

  6. Thanks for the info on my print. It is signed Hiroshige. I did some research some years ago about it as far as I remember it could be attributed to a later Hiroshige generation: 4th. Here 2 others prints for comparison
  7. Hello, Here are my prints. The fuji san from Kaiseki is one of my favorite.
  8. I think there was a rim that was removed. Look at the legs, we still see a part of it
  9. Hello It is obvious the fuchi is in shibuishi and the kashira in shakudo. Based on that I thinks it is quite Strange that a "matching set" don't use the same materials ! Also, look at the eyes on both. Not the same technic used. So, for me it same the Octopus theme, but not a Matching set / not the same maker.

Hello, I also thinks it is a Tanaka
  17. Hello, All the above fuchi kashira are from the edo period, so not a later imitiation. You should look at Nara school that produced Sentoku fuchi kashira with landscape design.

    Fudo Myoo tsuba

Hello, This is an iron tsuba with a Fudo Myoo carved. It has a mei, but it is too thin and worn to be read Any opinion and/or idea about the school are welcome Thanks Sébastien

  25. I see that blade and I am a little bit disappointed because on the face with the mei, almost all the surface of the blade is covered by the bohi. This result we don't see the jigane on this face, that is a shame.
