  1. Thanks all. I didn't pay a ton for it: https://www.proxibid.../86283675&rfpb=0#Top
  2. Think the kissaki is correct. It is just hard to see with the condition it is in. The tang has been heavily filed and shortened.
  3. Is it worth sending away to get polished? Is there anyone anyone would recommend near Ohio to help restore it?
  4. Unfortnately it is unsigned and has too much rust/pitting to really see the hamon. The nakago has been filed and shortened. Given the length of the nakago, even with the shortening, and the high curvature, it seems like it might be a tachi older than an Edo period? The only writing is on the iron tsuba. Thanks.
  5. Thanks. These were pictures from the auction. It is being shipped right now, so I can't put up better pictures but will if it's real.
  6. I bought this at an auction. Everything else in it was WWII--so thought this would be too--but the tsuba looks older (cast iron?) I'm thinking it might be Edo period? Doesn't look like there is any ray skin and I'd imagine someone butchered the tuska.
