I am curious because I have seen videos of swords on YouTube I am very new to collecting and inexperienced, but to me some of the blades seem to be listed relatively cheap for their condition/papers/looks Their YouTube handle is ‘Masa266’ Their eBay store goes by ‘Konnichiwa Tokyo’

Thanks, that’s incredibly interesting, first time I’ve seen a nihonto with that sort of breakage, you can almost see the layers, that would be quite the show piece

Well I’m no expert, but if it was shortened, it would have been from the backside, as the kissaki still has an intact hamon, I checked the back of the nakago, and the patina seems consistent, if it was shortened it may have been early in its lifetime?
