  1. If you’re lucky, they just might sell it back to you at half price
  2. Thank you for the information The dream would be a (current) papered Katana for $1500 or less in good condition and polish unfortunately there are always drawbacks, or they sell fast
  3. I am curious because I have seen videos of swords on YouTube I am very new to collecting and inexperienced, but to me some of the blades seem to be listed relatively cheap for their condition/papers/looks Their YouTube handle is ‘Masa266’ Their eBay store goes by ‘Konnichiwa Tokyo’
  4. Catching up to you
  5. 17 now Started with my first sword at 15
  6. Thanks, that’s incredibly interesting, first time I’ve seen a nihonto with that sort of breakage, you can almost see the layers, that would be quite the show piece
  7. I’ll get back with more pictures, specifically of the back of the nakago, probably tomorrow, thanks for your comments (hope this picture helps some)
  8. Well I’m no expert, but if it was shortened, it would have been from the backside, as the kissaki still has an intact hamon, I checked the back of the nakago, and the patina seems consistent, if it was shortened it may have been early in its lifetime?
  9. Better picture of hamon
  10. Nakago
  11. Better picture of habaki
  12. Habaki
  13. Another picture of hada
