    Thanks everyone for your replies I’ve received this piece in the exact condition in the pictures. I have not done anything to it except take photos to show you all. I live in Australia 🇦🇺 so they have places here that can restore

    Thanks Ray, I had a Japanese friend look over it, he said it could have been made for an anniversary for an emperors son ? Is this a military blade?

    Hi after some information history on the below short sword, it could have been made in October 1929 by Sadakatsu Tsukiyama.
