  1. See your facebook messenger.
  2. Hi Luc, thanks. Meanwhile I have some doubts about the reputation of the seller in question. PS: also messaged you on facebook as I was also referred to you by someone else.
  3. Meanwhile someone strongly warned me against this seller.
  4. So it has no value?
  5. Thanks for all that replied
  6. I would prefer black, but this thing has something. PS: sorry for this, but lot's of thanks for your assistance Piers.
  7. Thanks Piers. Wanted to make sure this is the real deal and not some knock off etc.
  8. Sorry, no clearer pictures than this unfortunately.
  9. Does this help?
  10. Ok, bit confusing these era's. I would take it that the first one third of Edo era would be somewhere between 1603 and 1700. I like this armor and it seems to be in quite good condition + a good kabuto and finish which seems to have belonged to a higher ranking samurai. Never heard of the certifying body. Is it any good? Thanks for your help.
  11. That looks rather limited. Not even early, mid or late Edo?
  12. Would like to know if this certificate has any real value? Don't know the organization in question. Thanks.
  13. Kan someone translate what this says? Thank you.
  14. I think it will match. Black lacquered saya in hirumaki style.
  15. I decided to buy this one because I really liked it.
  16. BTW, anyone have an indication of the price of a very good undamaged katanakake in black/gold lacquer with signature of the maker and dating to the late Edo period (1825-1870)? Maker is Nakayama Komin.
  17. I didn't take it as it was indeed off in that area.
  18. Sorry to revive this, but about the symbols on the kozuka and fuchikashira, someone told me that the butterfly bears resemblance to the Taira agehacho and the tessen probably refers to Taira no Kiyomori who ruled Japan for some time in the Heian period. He seems to also have been known for using a hand fan as a weapon for the first time...Well, who knows;
  19. Thanks. Good to know. It makes me think it is always best to buy from a reputable store.
  20. Apologies, I realized there was a separate translation section after I posted. They are not my pictures however. Sorry.
  21. Any good? PS: there are several with that name on FB...
  22. https://www.jauce.com/auction/u1128847112 I cannot buy due to legal restrictions. Maybe someone might find it interesting. Doesn't look a forgery to me, but who knows.
  23. Anyone know about someone who can do a professional rewrap of a tsuka in the EU?
  24. Can anyone translate the inscriptions on this nakago?
