  1. Thank you. For the information. After my father passed my brother had the collection in his hot garage in south Texas. I finally convinced him to give the collection to me so it could be in climate controlled safe keeping.
  2. Good evening, Just wanted to see if anyone could tell me about this piece. It is my favorite in the collection passed down from my Grandfather who brought it back after WW2. I know it's condition isn't the best but I love it. Unfortunately there is no signature that I can see.
  3. Thanks, that was a great read. Much appreciated.
  4. Thank you for this forum. Your newsletter is helpful especially for those of us who are new. I personally appreciate everyone's feedback on questions ask. You did make me laugh a bit at the comment regarding ladies and language. Sometimes my language is worse than a salty sailor on a drunken binge. I'll make every effort to maintain class amongst the gentleman. You guys are awesome.
  5. Here is another sword in the collection.
  6. As requested, here are snapshots of the blades
  7. No. Photos don't do it justice.
  8. Thanks so much for your expertise.
  9. Thank you, Brian. I posted it Nihonto.
  10. Good morning, . I am the new custodian of my late grandfather's Japanese Swords and Tanegashima. He brought them back from WWII and kept them hid away only showing them to my Father a few times before he passed. My father showed them to me a few years before he passed. I am the first to research the history behind the secret collection. No matter the findings the small collection will be treasured and kept for future generations. Attached are photos on one small sword. I did not find any signature on the blade.
  11. Can I post the sword pictures on this post or do I need to start a new post in the correct discussion page?
