  1. I did below/above. I can keep shooting it if you want more. scabbard has been banged a bit. Not matching # 9664. I dig the remnant brown paint...
  2. I could use two of those handles. Very cool Bruce.
  3. In a way, it pleases me that it's not worth much to the world (with a tear in my as I wave good-by to my retirement plan). I enjoy it and that it is the lowest one, I won't have to sell it for fear of a home invasion. Below are more photos of the clunker... Begining to figure out this website. The white wrap was from before I got it. And I have bought a beat-to-hell bayonet, perhaps for it's tired beaten body and it's stories that I will never know. Thank you for your wisdom. Isen
  4. Bruce, it is a name...
  5. Thank you! Good read as well. I am slightly vain, how does one share that this sword exists?
  6. A photo of the old guy...
  7. It's my first world record... very satisfying.
  8. its a 30.5. I have other examples of both versions. Its in a Frankenstein wooden tsuba hilt, a clever design really, that has room for the locking mechanism, with original screws I believe..., I might wrap it and call it a day, but is there a source of replica hilts? I need two fyi... below is a photo. I read that the earlier models had a problem getting stuck in the sheath occasionally so models after were made a little thinner at the base of the blade? I can't confirm this as I lost the page... Someone also sharpened it very well, held the bevel and it's much sharper than my other two... i like it.
  9. Thank you, the sword is # 401 I suspect it's the first few weeks... Does anyone know the lowest-numbered one found? The scabbard is # 9664.
  10. I am 99% sure I have the blade of type 32 with a serial number in the 400's. The hilt is gone, Scaberd may match, maybe in the 1000's, hard to read... Assuming this is true, is it the oldest blade found? Does it have real value or is it just very cool...
