    Thank you for the information Chris, I might have to go get the sword polished then I can determine the Hamon. The Hamon is there but very faint.

    I'm sorry I also forgot to say, The sword was salvaged in ww2 by my great grandfather. I don't know if It could be a hand-me-down. But if I had to guess it's pretty old?
