  1. Hello, how many in France ?
  2. I work on impulse and with the means of my purse. I never bought with the thought of reselling them one day. There are just a few things that have changed since I've been on the forum and read all the posts and some that still fascinate me, I'm trying to reorient my collection. Quality over quantity, I try to have more beautiful blades to have a good basis of study and period which fascinates me the most but it always takes my favorite. Even if I show and some are critical of the blade, for good or bad, as long as I like it, that there is a story, that's the main thing.
  3. The tsuba is very nice. the tsuka too. Think it's older than Showa in my opinion
  4. Eric is magnificent. It’s a real pleasure to see him. As we say at the end of this story: OUF!
  5. I'm happy for you Eric. At least the story has a happy ending. Aside from the damage but at least you have your saber. What a relief for you I imagine. I hope you can show it to us?
  6. It's beautiful and the blacksmith story is incredible. Beyond my means unfortunately at the moment. I wish you good luck with this sale.
  7. I just discovered this post, I would have sent a message to Patrice if I had seen the post at the time. I know Patrice well, he is a good person, I have seen his polishing work which is magnificent. I also bought swords, tsuba from him and am perfectly satisfied with them. This story is unfortunate, but if the certificates start to be falsified it becomes dramatic.
  8. really sublime, you can really be proud of yourself. Say, the little lights on each side that you put are nice!!
  9. Splendid
  10. Congratulations. Sorry for you.
  11. I'm sorry for you. Couldn't you rather re-certify it as Hozon instead of selling it? Being in the USA, you are more likely to have a certificate than us in Europe for example. I'm just asking.
  12. Vive La France. Everything is doable in France. We are capable of doing the impossible as well as the unthinkable. He can have a package that goes all the way around France even though there are only two logistics platforms on the road. It’s lived experience. The postal system in France is incredible but other companies aren't any better either. I'm crossing my fingers for you and hoping to get your lovely gift back. At least when you get it back, you'll have a nice contemporary story to add.
  13. Lexvdjagt the two armors are very pretty I think. Piers, Uwe and shogun 8 had good explanations, I always appreciate their comments personally, it's constructive. Afterwards you have to take into account the state of transport, the impact of it, customs etc... But actually, they are quite affordable. I have two armors, one from the Showa period bought 20 years ago and the second bought just 1 month ago at auction in France but it, Edo period, they both have defects, but as said Uwe both caught my eye, a huge favorite like my nihonto. If I have a doubt, I move on but frankly having armor gave me personal pride, a real child in front of his first electric train. I hope everything goes well for you for one or the other.
  14. I'm sorry for you Eric. The postal service is a big problem in France. If you're not too far from the warehouse, I'd tell you to try to go there.
