Hello everyone. I picked up a couple of swords from a mom and pop antiques shop in Ottawa about 20 years ago. I always assumed they may be military swords, Japanese (by assumption only) but having seen very similar looking swords. I'm wondering if I stumbled on a really cool find. One of the swords has a partially worn off engraving and a serial number, while the other does not. They look to my un-trained eye to be either Kyu-Gunto or really nice replicas. Thanks in advance.
