    Ko-Kinko Tsuba?

Hello NMB, long-time no see. I've been lurking some listings lately and came across this Daisho Tsuba set. https://www.ebay.com...r=artemis&media=COPY What caught my eye about this is that I actually have an unpapered Tsuba in my collection that I now believe to have come from the same school (Kyo-Kinko). I initially bought the Tsuba because it looked beautiful but am now interested in its origins after seeing some similar Tsuba. Would I be safe in assuming that this Tsuba is from that school and Shinshinto period? Many thanks
  3. Looking for a beautiful tanto, ideally with a nice mei or horimono. Shinsakuto tanto have also caught my eye but I would also be fine with a papered one. Budget is around $1500 usd
  4. I remember seeing this sword on ebay as well. I think I bid on it but once it went over a grand I gave up on it. It is a very long blade, however, something very desirable to me and many others
  5. Some more pictures, I'm not planning on buying the blade. I'm trying to learn about fatal flaws. Thank you for the advice
  6. Should clarify there are two cracks. The smaller one in this picture is the one I'm concerned about
  7. I came across this Gendaito on eBay and wanted to ask about your opinions on these cracks. From what I've heard, a perpendicular crack along the spine can be considered fatal although this crack is at an angle. Would you consider this to be fatal and what kind of crack would this be called?
  8. I actually have my eyes on that one as well It was the second to last Kanji that made me make this post
  9. After doing a little more research, I'm leaning towards genuine as only the first four Kanji are actually his name while the second to last Kanji is Tsukuru while most others have Saku instead by Tsugukiyo.
  10. Some more notes from Bill Tagg
  11. I came across this Gendaito online by Baba Tsugukiyo who I've been coming across a lot recently while looking for Gendaitos. I was about to pull the trigger on this one, but the Mei is slightly different from the various examples online. Especially the second to last Kanji. I was wondering if anybody has any insight on it? The sword was looked at by Bill Tagg at one point as well who attributed it to him. I've attached pictures of the Mei and blade. Supposedly the Blade has a polishers mark as well.
  12. I'm looking at the 5th generation Tadeyoshi, and it was papered at 40 points in the description. Just want to confirm if that's true as I'm new to Nihonto and thought NTHK starts at 60
  13. I will definitely be checking this out, thanks for the link
