    Thank you. Any idea on the bamboo sheath, grip is it a style of sword? I am not familar with it. Someone mentioned it being pre-Edo period. Any ideas on possibly age?

    We had a deceased realitive who owned this pass this down to my dad. I think the bamboo is newer but the blade looks old. The tang has writing on it and wanted to see if anyone had any idea. Thanks! https://imgur.com/a/ZDo837u
