This is one of two tsuba I found recently in a local shop. There are remnants of gold damascening on both sides but predominantly on the side opposite the mei, where you can see areas of cross-hatching. It measures 8.0 x 8.2 cm, 4 mm on the rim and 6 mm at the center. I have tried in vain to figure out this mei. Any help in trying to translate this mei would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Noel
