The Above link is to a sword i have been eyeballing for some time now. its purpose would be mainly as a display example of a Japanese katana. all i require is that it be made in a traditional manner and with quality materials. my budget is no more than $1000.00 . i currently collect various historical weapons and will eventually purchase an actual antique sword as soon as my knowledge base is expanded enough to attempt such. this sword appears to be made traditionally and looks good to my untrained eye. I am not interested in any nonfunctional reproductions (IE: non traditional materials/ unsharpened blades or decorative/court dress type mountings.) If this one looks good, or if any of you could recommend any better quality reproductions in my price range i would be eternally grateful for learned opinions.
