  1. Question about NBTHK HOZON numbering system I recently saw a NBTHK HOZON certificate for a Katana Fuyuhiro with a number in the pic I've uploaded Just happened to look at YOUTUBE tonight and saw a NBTHK HOZON certificate for a Wakazashi with the same number. . . Thoughts?
  2. Looking closely at the nakago, I don't see any arsenal stamp. I cannot get the habaki off to look for a "w". Experience tells me not to force or bang on it. The hamon extends to the tip of the kissaki.

  6. Translation assistance & approx date I think that the nagasa was stored in a type of bubble wrap which left a plastic residue or maybe its just the metal grain . . . . .
  7. Amazing. Spot on. A clue is the one piece fuchi / seppa. The longer I looked at the sword, I noticed that there was no evidence of there ever being an integrated locking mechanism. Dead give away for me. Makes you wonder if these have any monetary / intrinsic value at all. Thanks to all Ed
