Try buyee. You can switch over to yahoo Japan via that service. Some items you are still not able to buy. I don't use it much, more knowledgeable people may be of more help.

None of these ebay sellers "own/possess" these items. They are for sale on yahoo Japan(for much cheaper)After a westerner pays double the price for them on ebay they purchase the item and have it sent to the buyer.

I've been seeing this done a lot by Japanese dealers(especially on ebay) my guess is they're taking Hazuya or Jizuya stones to rusted blades. I don't understand why they do this.

I'm assuming the top one is as ray said. The bottom may very well be the same. Here's another in a mueseum. Looks like remains of a pin through the nakago to hold the tsuka on.
-
May just be the photos, but this looks like a separate piece: I'm thinking the kabutogane comes off via the barrel screw, and the metal tsuka "cover" slides off and there's a hidden mekugi?

Thank you all for the informative replies!

I agree.. I believed it to be a surrender tag for a sword. But, the cord is extremely long( around 6 foot at each end, so 12 feet total)

Thank you very much! Makes much more sense than google lens..

Would appreciate some help on this. Not sure what it is. Was allegedly from an IJA soldier but not sure what it would be intended for. Thanks.

Is this yours, or do you plan on purchasing? The seppa also look inaccurate/incomplete(may just be the photo)

I posted this in response to Brian's comment. That yes, taking a punch to a cast iron tsuba will have negative effects. I haven't seen anyone attempt such things only speculation. And no, there's no way to know when this was made.
-
For educational purpose I went ahead and did this for everyone to see. This was one blow with a pointed punch and framing hammer. For reference this tsuba came out of Japan in a lot with genuine tsuba. I knew it was cast as you can see the sekigane are cast with the tsuba.

Discussed here: This is a piece together as mentioned above. Not sure what the original koshirae was really. As you can see a piece of ito was added to the handle as well. Meaning the fuchi that is on it is to small. I'm assuming the blade was cut down to fit the tsuka etc.. I would pass. This is being sold in Australia too. I'm pretty sure it is much harder for them to get blades down there so the price will reflect that.

Was this the one on ebay? I hesitated to long on deciding whether or not to buy it now.

I kept quiet about this before but this is pretty blatant at this point. I'm sure I will get crap on here for it, but I'm pretty sick and tired of this. It all started a while back when I was bidding on an item he had for sale. I was the second highest bidder throughout but kept getting outbid every time I was the highest bidder. I gave up bidding within several hours of ending. I lost the auction by around $80 since no one else bid. 1 day later it was relisted for $800 more than than the highest bid. I contacted Eric and asked why it wasn't sold and was relisted with a buy it now. He gave me a spiel about the winner asking to many questions after the auction ended and he didn't want to deal with the idiot. I offered to buy it for what it sold for and was told he couldn't take what it sold for at auction.. Hmm.. Well anyways here you go. Auctions that have sold with multiple bids but have been relisted at much higher prices.

Pictures are two gunto. So I would be very suspicious that they have older iron tsuba. Not unheard of, but rarely seen especially with type 94/98 mounts. One is also missing seppa.

I came across these on ebay. Ones I saw from sellers were listed as copies/reproductions. Surprised to see such honesty.

Thank you!

Unfortunately nakago of a torch cut blade. Wasn't expecting to see it signed. Looking for help just out of curiosity. Thank you.
