Have a chance to buy this sword, would like to get some opinions on it. Looks like it has been cut down, has a nice hada ayasugi i think. about 18 inchs long. Erich

So you are saying the black patina is original to the tsuba and did not appear over time.

should i polish the tsuba to it original copper lustre or just leave it as is with the dark patina?..Erich

Just wondering what you'r thoughts are on this tsuba. it's a soft medal copper maybe? It came off a ww2 Japanese army officers sword...Erich

Can anyone tell me what these two figures on the kozuka represent. Maybe they are part of some Japanese folkloar? Not signed on the back. Erich
