Dear everyone can you please help with the following blade Nakago . It is sold as marumachi period blade. Can it be the shape shown in picture or is it fake …as it is not showing as standard or is it because it was a NAGINATA . Any advise would be appreciated jay

Dear all, Thank you for accepting me as a member . I have some photos of a ww2 Japanese sword handed down in family - but seems to be different shape than the usual . ANY ADVISE would really be appreciated as no idea how old it really is . Length of sword 70 cm - handle 23 cm . Opened the Nagamaki after many years and cannot see a signature either . All I can find online - it tends to look edo period . Can anyone please help Kind regards
