  11. If it’s an early sword it should be a copper handled version which is highly faked here is my example and also look at the bottom of the sayer if its an original it should have the round bottom not like the later ones which as a pressed steel drag
  12. Is it unusual not to have the arsenal mark or is it sometimes found like my example ? Gareth
  13. Having recently purchased the Copper handled NCO sword I thought I would post another NCO sword made by Seki Token Co .. It is again a matching number example but unusually it as the Manufacture's mark plus the inspectors mark of the the Nagoya arsenal but no arsenal mark .. I have to thank Bruce for his help and advice when I was thinking of purchasing it as he posted it on here for discussion before I did pull the trigger .. regarding the swords number being 130557 what year would the sword would have been made ? Many thanks Gareth

  17. Bruce sorry I am late getting back to you .. Having just taken the sword apart I cannot see any markings only the name of the smith and the date the blade was forged … Is it because the blade as high quality fittings compared to my other so called Type 3s that it could have been a private commission to make the sword reason behind it could be the family Mon badge attached to the sword ? Many thanks Gareth
