Was curious about this tanto style, sheath is bulbous ans almost chrysalis like in design, blades unsigned but wondering if there was an era these were produced?

Saw this and couldnt resist buying, im guessing its a belt but not sure for whom or what, 3m in length and 15cm wide and increase to 20cm where all the art work is though this 20cm is actually wider though folded over.

Morning gents, New officers sword , unsigned, and wondering if any has idea of swordsmith from style of the hamon ,shape of tang? Unfortunately has field sharpening to last 12 inches of blade and curves to the right sighting along spine. Love the chunky seppa and has a Mon of 2 interlocked circles( Kunishi)
