  1. My mistake, sorry it has been a busy week. I will send you a private message momentarily.
  2. Has the nakago been polished? Feel free to PM me. Thanks in advance. Edit: Sorry please disregard due to item location. Being new to the hobby, I am presently only buying within US.
  3. When I am feeling better, I will try to get more high-resolution photos. I really tried to do different angles and such without a light box and additional lighting, but see now that I will need to. I just plain like it so it is more an intellectual pursuit, as usual, versus trying to make money or something. To me, it is beautiful, not a reproduction and I am honored to own it.
  4. Jean, can you click on the above image and magnify? This is the clearest I have been able to get.
  5. Here are a couple more pictures of the signature; should this not allow for an answer, I will put in a photo box and add additional lighting. Thank you in advance, I really appreciate it and will make a donation to the forum for identification. I am trying to catch the light, just right, so I don't have to bring out the light box and specialized lighting.
  6. Would it help if I tried to get better close up pictures of the signature?
  7. Jumonji Yari is really nice. I didn't pick it up and handle, but was 'tire kicking' a purchase a few times through. Glad you got it!
  8. I think it is really cool or nice. Thank you for sharing
  9. Should it be worth considerable more then I paid, I have his business card and will give him a few more dollars and this forum to say thanks.
  10. Just noticed eyes on both sides have a dot of gold...
  11. Just realized the reverse side is signed.......I honestly just bought it fairly quick and did not inspect to close owing to price and having bought other pieces from the seller at the show. Struck me as a very stand-up guy or honest. I just like dragons in fittings is why I bought it. In trying to take better photos now, I realized it is signed. Translation help and year would be great. I was just having fun, really and learning.
  12. Thank you for your feedback. I'll try to get better photos tonight; it was just not focusing well.
  13. Sorry my photos are not the best. Laid against microfiber cloth after choji oil.
  14. Please let me know. I paid $130.00 I believe, I just like it. Two dragons and a pearl, I believe.
  15. Got to meet Mark and Grey so far; really nice people and Mark gave me a really good price on a fitting; that was very kind. Thank you, Sir. Lots of great stuff to see and people to network with to learn more. Tomorrow there are some presentations that I am looking forward to.
  16. Thank you. I have a wakizashi and a katana both with clean, long-running separation.
  17. Thank you in advance. I have two nihonto's that have slightly cracked shirasaya's. Where do you buy replacements for your blades? Appreciate the help. I did search, but was unable to locate where to buy.
  18. Sorry for the delay. Please PM me your PayPal info. I will take QTY 1 in orange. Best, Brian
  19. Excited to go and look forward to visiting. Best, Brian
  20. So...the note above where someone mentioned 'temple market' and to paraphrase, 'more swords', is truly inspiring my imagination. Thank you. What can be found at these temple markets?
  21. @ the OP, thanks for the reply. I would have interest in seeing the blade closer (hada???). If you do decide to sell, I am interested. I am not an expert, just a novice, but buy what I personally find interesting. You can PM or direct message me should you wish to sell with your number; otherwise, I do have an item or two I can trade if you'd rather that.
  22. I think it is really cool. Thanks for sharing. Any close up photos of the blade?
  23. It is interesting to me that the hamon on the reverse side of the blade appears to be more in the 'crab claw' appearance. In the spring, I will send to Woody for polish. Where do I send for paperwork and how much does this cost? Thank you
  24. Thank you, Jussi. I wish I knew which one it was. The person I bought it from said it was unusual to be dated, as 1580. Perhaps that would allow someone to narrow it down? I like it and it is just for my personal enjoyment, no resell. Just want to learn more is all. I am planning to have it lettered or paperwork done some time in 2022. Again, just for my interest.
