Hello i found this https://nihonto.com/uda-school/ http://www.sho-shin.com/hoku14.htm p.s toku ho would be solely based on the blade itself imho j
  3. Here we go again.. I find it absolutely pathetic that a good advice as a topic, posted by a member with 40 years experience goes to this point in a flash.. and so it seems by the same or very few individuals here No I'm not pointing fingers and I'm not taking sides - facts! If any of the folks here have nothing important to add to the topic then i suggest - just do not reply. It'll help everyone involved, no clutter, no arguments, no bad feelings Now if the point is to instigate and be everything but a cordial member then the high table has to make a ruling. Pure and simple J
  4. Please search in the forum How to take care of nihonto It will be very useful information and could inspire you further into the study of nihon to J
  5. I've spoken to Chris. He said, some papers are in the first batch, others in the second. Once I get all for the individual then I'll send them together. So soon all of us will have our kanteisho Y
  6. I'm not here to advise but @Ray Singer (and other knowledgeable members here) is more than capable of steering you in the right direction j
  7. Hello There are many examples in your price range. I personally don't give such broad answer but your budget is great, the Kozori group was also great. The information you've provided is a bit limited and so are the photos. More info/pictures could give a better idea of the piece although it is hard to make judgment based on photos only J
  8. Hello please show the blade details such as tip and any details of the folded steel a picture of the whole blade vertically up would be great to me it looks like a poorly chiseled mon and signature j
  9. The serial number script on your certificate is NOT what they used Just so everyone efen knows Y
  10. Not here to bicker with folks that know way more but - Debatable. Big names - no papers. I witnessed at the April shinsa that they were EXTREMELY cautious of even reissuing papers of blades that have been published before OR smiths with little works existent and no extended book information with supportive kantei of well respected members of the nihonto world. y
  11. Hello I like the Yoshimichi line but to me katana is always preferred choice. Truth be told these are not comparable as they are few hundred years apart.. then prices? Papers? Y.
  12. I still can't get through:/ I wanted the shitahara section, if anyone is willing to supply the link, I'd appreciate J
  13. Not sure what papers say but to me looks like a great blade. Ubu, one mekugi, great hamon and elongated kissaki without any visible flaws is definitely something I'd submit to NBTHK for Kantei Y.
  14. Made anywhere But in Japan is my honest opinion Y
  15. It's been like that for a week now It was very useful site. Hopefully it'll resurface Y
  16. If they have guaranteed the authenticity of the signature then that's up between you Two. Considering no papers and the integrity of the sellers here I personally doubt someone would have purposely mislead you.. Y
  17. Because something in the executing the signature on the tang doesn't match the logged, recorded proven to be authentic signatures by the maker? Y
  18. Could you please elaborate? J
  19. Great blade The polish appears strange J
  20. Japanese steel fever Lol Y
  21. ... but it is a bargain lol Y
  22. Looking at a Japanese blade is like looking at a diamond. Y.
