  1. Hello I like the Yoshimichi line but to me katana is always preferred choice. Truth be told these are not comparable as they are few hundred years apart.. then prices? Papers? Y.
  2. I still can't get through:/ I wanted the shitahara section, if anyone is willing to supply the link, I'd appreciate J
  3. Not sure what papers say but to me looks like a great blade. Ubu, one mekugi, great hamon and elongated kissaki without any visible flaws is definitely something I'd submit to NBTHK for Kantei Y.
  4. Made anywhere But in Japan is my honest opinion Y
  5. It's been like that for a week now It was very useful site. Hopefully it'll resurface Y
  6. If they have guaranteed the authenticity of the signature then that's up between you Two. Considering no papers and the integrity of the sellers here I personally doubt someone would have purposely mislead you.. Y
  7. Because something in the executing the signature on the tang doesn't match the logged, recorded proven to be authentic signatures by the maker? Y
  8. Could you please elaborate? J
  9. Great blade The polish appears strange J
  10. Japanese steel fever Lol Y
  11. ... but it is a bargain lol Y
  12. Looking at a Japanese blade is like looking at a diamond. Y.
  13. Polish and papers only increase the value however full restoration plus a suitable wooden scabbard Plus the cost of shipping and having a NBTHK kantei would cost in the 5k range hence - have it looked at first by someone knowledgeable IMHO. J.
  14. @Rivkin I respectfully disagree. The blade is clearly out of polish .. That I say without any provocation whatsoever @Aarongrant Bob Benson out of Hawai or anyone nearest to you with the same reputation needs to see it IMHO Y
  15. @Aarongrant That thickness right there. Y
  16. Lots of chikei throughout. I don't see masame in the shinogi, which makes me think - old. Kissaki is rough, measurements/photos of the mune (the thickness of the blade where the ridge starts) could answer more. Old old blade IMHO y
  17. I wouldn't do that personally Maybe ,if others agree, just lightly oil the nakago with pure choji oil without rubbing or scrubbing. Anything else devalues the blade as I was told J.
  18. I personally would not purchase it, with such massive flaw which to me appears fatal. J
  19. Definitely the farthest to the right Please let me know if you have further reference Thank you @SteveM J
  20. I found the circle with 2 lines, the second mon I can't seem to find info on anywhere J.
  21. 👋 As per the title which clan mon this is (if any) and where could I find any extra information on it? Thank you in advance J
  22. Shitahara? Y.
