  4. Hello selling few blades. Hope they make their way to a good home.. nidai yoshimichi katana. Ubu with one mekugi, outstanding polish (nbthk hozon (easy toku ho (at the time spending so much to ship it back to Japan was senseless))) with perfect fit shirasaya and koshirae - $6750 nidai yoshimichi wakizashi. Same sudare ba pattern as the katana. Same ubu one mekugi in outstanding polish with shirasaya. Solid 14k gold habaki - $4800 yokoyama Sukenaga katana. Outstanding polish - ubu with one mekugi. 29” nagasa. The shirasaya has 3” split on both sides, can be fixed. Still holding the katana well. NTHK NPO Kanteisho $5500 muromachi Jumyo katana with 2 dragon carvings on each side. Ubu with one mekugi. Fine surface scratches but no flaws. Great sambonsugi hamon. NTHK Kanteisho. The shirasaya is old and it bears sayagaki - $6500 mumei slight suriage attributed to Kanemoto by NTHK in great polish and a great study piece. The hamon features a lot of activities. Folks with knowledge think it’s earlier era and higher tier swordsmith. NTHK Kanteisho shirasaya - $3850 i will supply all necessary photos that are requested by serious buyers. Cashiers check, friends and family by PayPal, Zelle etc the prices do not include shipping. I ship overnight with the US with full insurance. I’m also willing to ship overseas where such items are permitted. Customs fees (if applicable are buyer’s responsibility) thank you p.s didn’t want to clutter the thread so questions or requests - please dm yv
  5. Thank you he evaluated the blade as Tsunahiro/Masahiro 2 papers, same scholar p.s I’d trade the majority of the languages I know if I could only read Japanese ;( yv
  6. I wonder if someone knows who the appraiser was thank you yv
  7. I agree Huge name Once I have a result I’ll refresh the topic thank you yv
  8. I am unable to do so as the blade is already travelling thank you yv
  9. Hello and thank you for writing. I’ve decided to submit it to NBTHK next year. I have a paper attributing it to Masahiro/Tsunahiro but it is not a reliable one although it has the stamp of an appraiser. once I hear back I’ll report the result thank you Yv
  10. Thank you all for your ‘support’. definitely not butt hurt but to know how many scholars are around and the fact i already pardoned the not so appealing photos (yeah right?) - i just find it absolutely personal that my question didn’t even get addressed! while information is not free i only wanted a take on it … and no - it’s earlier than muromachi period thank you feel free to close and erase the photos and the thread peace be upon you yu
  11. no it is not Thank you j
  12. Thank you I edited them to enhance the hamon I could see hitstsura, couldn’t photo the utsuri ‘clouding’ over it :/ that might have given a bad impression jv
  13. I can’t provide better photos.. pardon that j
  14. Hello I’m inquiring about the Japanese term for the hamon with such utsuri and the schools that introduced and made it. thank you j
  15. I respect you chiming in - Indeed you’re right no smell no evidence of tempering (artificial aging) black rust as nambokucho and the latter and then the 2nd one - that’s Kanemoto? Or Kanemitsu :D or earlier … no clue.. thank you for the input nonetheless ! apparently nbthk remains the last resort for dreamers as myself lol dont mind the irony yv
  16. .. and substantial machi okuri… yv
  17. Im not criticizing the shinsa team but there’s absolutely no way this is a late showa blade especially after looking at other examples of the smith. Not even close… and that is Kanemoto? I’m just sooo confused and definitely disappointed I accept that shinsa is only an opinion but that opinion shouldn’t be centuries apart.. yv
  18. None of the attributions fit the blades if that’s Showa rust on the nakago then I’m definitely in the wrong sport… yv
  19. Thank you @Nobody yv
  20. Last Noshu Kanemoto thank you @Ray Singer yv
  21. Hello members id appreciate if you’d be so nice and willing to give me translation of the papers of the 2 blades below. Thank you in advance yv
  22. That’s why I love Muramasa no pun intended j
  23. I do see a lot of resemblance of Kinju in that hada. That’s just a total rookie statement I love the quality and I wouldn’t remove the signature unless shinsa is mandatory for you j
