617 is the number only for this sword. This is the numbering to manage the Akabane swords

江戸住　寛政の頃 Live in Edo during the Kansei period（1789-1801） 藩士の注文に応じて製作 Manufactured according to the feudal retainer 予州松山臣 Yosyu Matsuyama sin（retainer of matsuyama city ） 藤原國住作之　一本 made by Fujiwara Kunizumi one 　　清次作之　二本　 Kiyotsugu two

兼綱　Kanetsuna 　 １石州兼綱　Sekisyu　Kanetsuna ２應安六百年前　Ouan600years before 1　Sekisyu are written on tha saya,but I thik its a mistake of Nosyu.(濃州） 2　It is written that Ouan's time around 1370 was 600 years ago. But　Kanetsuna　was the author of the Muromachi period, so I think 450 years appropriate.

長光　昭和二十年五月　桜に岐刻印 Nagamitsu may 1945 a sculpture of Gi（mean Gife）in a cherryblossom.

Toshichika 敏周　（The image of the mei is inverted.) May　1944　昭和19年5月　 I　think what is written on the saya is not a name but a numbering. He was　active in Seki city Gifu prefecture
