lonely panet replied to BANGBANGSAN's topic in Wanted to Buy
had it and sold it, not a very informative book. just more a catalogue of his collection. -
hhahahaha you wish, i price my swords so they dont take months to sell, im not greedy i like to share my good faith with the members here by pricing everything at very affordable prices. i was blessed with good eyes, and i let others share in the good luck, like many aussie collectors, Neil, john and others we sell so new collectors have a chance. happy new year

Highly dubious Type 94 on Yahoo!
lonely panet replied to KungFooey's topic in Military Swords of Japan
this seller is on jauce, all his swords should be treated with extreme caution. this sword has some clear warning signs. rebound tsuka, incorrect or missing seppa, missing screws with no holes into the saya etc. but no pictures showing anything internal. very selective photos but hey dont listen to me, no one else does -

Eric Molinier/ericowazamono Shill bidding?
lonely panet replied to Tensho's topic in Auctions and Online Sales or Sellers
i have bought a tsuba from him some years back, and i believe i was a victum of shill bidding. but i also went on to sell that tsuba for a profit here, so rest a peace that he sells good items, you just didnt get a bargin. every platform i know of has this practice. bad but necssary for small busness operators to make a living. but its ebay and there are pitfalls to ebay, scams, returns and theift. im sure that after many sales and loses, hes found the middle ground to making money and losing money. look at the dealer and not what the platform forces him to do. if you want contact him off site and buy that way -
katana Kurihara Akihide Katana in Shingunto Koshirae
lonely panet replied to Sutraken's topic in Swords and Edged Weapons
Well if where all discussing. Personally iv never seen a late war blade mounted in a type 98 gunto koshirae. That might raise eye brows. Also its abit pricey. Once the currency conversion, taxes and postage thats close to 10k Aussie. Some peaple who collect ljm swords don't shop in that price bracket -
Can we run these abit long. I want to participate but didn't get a chance Before the gender reveal
-
Well im buying 2 types. When they arrive i will post them as a detailed warning
