Dee your 2 tanto have been doing the rounds on jauce for about 12 months. All about the 5k aud range. The seller is fishing -
2 and 6 are the fakes. dont be fooled but the sculped belt clips, they did make them for the type 94 according to Dawsons page 419. but the quality and colour are very obvoius. And Sam , number 1 is original, the photos where taken taken via phone. some of these are published in F/G 2nd book page 243. big thanks to Brenton Williams so pass this info on to others

Ok guy, i bought 2 of the fake chain hangers for the sole reason to compare and post here to educate and warn others. there are 2 in the mix to show the difference. have there tells, there lighter and more tinny sounding when moved and rattled, there are softer in base metal and the chain links are clumsy and knot, tangle or hang up on each other very easy. the interal leaf springs are apposed in direction to the originals and if roughed up to age them could fool the new collector. so just to touch base i spent money with the sole purpose to shed more light on these repros, so everyone new to military arena doenst get fooled, I wont resell them but discard themn as rubbish. now spot the 2 fakes

lonely panet replied to BANGBANGSAN's topic in Wanted to Buy
had it and sold it, not a very informative book. just more a catalogue of his collection. -
hhahahaha you wish, i price my swords so they dont take months to sell, im not greedy i like to share my good faith with the members here by pricing everything at very affordable prices. i was blessed with good eyes, and i let others share in the good luck, like many aussie collectors, Neil, john and others we sell so new collectors have a chance. happy new year

Highly dubious Type 94 on Yahoo!
lonely panet replied to KungFooey's topic in Military Swords of Japan
this seller is on jauce, all his swords should be treated with extreme caution. this sword has some clear warning signs. rebound tsuka, incorrect or missing seppa, missing screws with no holes into the saya etc. but no pictures showing anything internal. very selective photos but hey dont listen to me, no one else does -
side squabble aside the shinogi is very tall, how the kasanes??
