  2. Well here it is. 14 3/8 inches long. Of joy. It was polished by the great Woody Hall. I had some people give there opinion. And after some research. I think it maybe an Nakayama Ikkansai Yoshihiro. Well thats what I hope.

  8. I purchased this Wakizashi at a local knife show. The shirasaya is newer. The Habaki is solid silver. Mei reads, Yasutada with a kao. Not sure if Kao is the correct term. I found Yasutada listed on Shoshin. There was little information. Other then he is WW2 era smith.I found this blade as is. Previous owner had it polished and a new shirasaya and a solid silver habaki made.Seeking any information on the lineage. Who this smith is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Blade length 23 3/4" Hada is a beautiful tight Itame. There appears to be areas of Masamei.
  9. Hello, I hope all are well. I purchased this katana some 10 months ago. Over all condition was a very difficult dark patina to see through. One area was clear enough to see Hada. I had it polished. This is what was found. Sorry pictures are not the best.
