  1. Hi all! I'm just sharing to you this blade signed "Aihanshi Izumi no Kami Kanesada". Thanks to Ray for helping translating this, the date iscription should be "Keio Gan Ushi-doshi hachi gatsu kichijitsu", A lucky day of August, Keio Gan-nen (1865), in the year of the Ox (I took also, as a reference for the date, the blade shown at page 47 in the Izumi no Kami Kanesada part 1 book by Noboru Toyama). What are your thoughts? I have been comparing this with the various works shown in that book but I can't really say if is an authentic mei or a gimei so any help is really appreciated! I apologize in advance for the bad quality of the photos and thank you all for any feedbacks Best Michele

    School Infos

Hi All, I am writing this post because I would like to ask if anyone can give me more information and thoughts about the Mino Senjuin school and the Fujishima school. I am asking this because I was looking to buy a nihonto and, at the end of my research, I found two blades that I really like from the mentioned schools but I would like to know a bit more about the schools to have a clearer idea before buying. Here some pics, unfortunately are not of the best quality Mino Senjuin: Fujishima one: Thanks in advance for the time and help All the best Michele
  5. Thank you very much for the replies and help! Here other photos. Can you tell me more about the blade or the smith? What do you think about it? From my research the smith should be Masachika (https://nihontoclub.com/smiths/MAS40) or Masaoku (https://nihontoclub.com/smiths/MAS798) Do you agree? thanks again for your help
  6. Hey guys just a quick questions. Can anyone translate or give me more informations about this Mei please? should be Muromachi period blade but I'm not sure. Thanks in advance for your help
