Blade doesn't looks to be a good cutter for cutting mats.. You need to find the blade that's thin & wide.

Imo this is a real Mantetsuto, i have been collecting Gunto for about 12 years and probably i had seen at least 50 mantetsuto in my hand. Not trying to say i know a lot about them but i do believe my eyes at some point. What ever the conclusion is,,, it is all up to buyer to make purchase it or not but i will be guaranty this sword to be authentic, which mean if buyer bring it back with fair mount of prove after review in person that this is gimei then i will refund the original purchase price and it would be for life time guaranty. I also collect rare Mantetsuto and i have one that has gunome hamon, i will post some pictures here later.

Reason why i post the original link is that i sold that sword on eBay. I have post the pictures on listing that could approve that sword is not a fake and buyer contact me that i have sold fake sword. As i am a Japanese sword collector i never buy or sell fake stuff. Since i have no questions ask return policy for 14 days on my item that i have sold so i am taking it back and i just want to make myself clear on this to buyer. Thank you guys!

I believe that $1500 is good price for seller but not for the buyer for this sword. I am pretty sure that you will find better sword at better $$ if you could await and research more about sword.

I know that it will never be back on eBay for sure... it will be out of country very soon.

Looks Japanese to me... Just late war may be, it has shark skin instead ray skin. Also original tsuka and Tsuba. I don't see this sword as fake.
