  1. So my question is, would be possible to import a blade if I'm the one carrying it (I mean, regular travel then I deliver the item to the f.e. sirayashi)?
  2. You are very lucky.
  3. I do not know if this link is already posted but it's good info (I think so): http://www.ksky.ne.j...e99/information.html Also this one about menukis, kinds and history: https://swordis.com/blog/types-of-menuki/
  4. It's written Nihontō, and ō means the "o" is elongated so it's pronounced like a long "o". It can be represented either with "ō" or with "ou".
  5. Also, dificult to say without very good pictures or blade is on hand (seeing it live).
  6. Also, the mei is not traditionally engraved, and the tsuba has the seppa sculpted on it.
  7. It's beautiful. It fits my wakizashi so well I muat ask, is there a standard measure within the nihontō? I mean, look at the measures from both items, looks like made to measure to mine.

    Question

I would ask @Ray Singer. He has very good swords for value.
  9. Would be possible to see the sword?
  10. Except for very very old tsubas, then you are buying a piece of metal, round shaped (Please, don't feed me to the sharks)
  11. Gimei for sure.

    Lack of boshi

I think it is the exact same blade
  13. Do anyone still has some orphan menukis? I'm looking for some for my new koshirae. I prefer them orphan, second opportunities are always a good thing.
  14. I'm sorry for necroposting but... Did you ever post pictures of the new koshirae? I'm collecting fittings for my own wakizashi (which doesn't have koshirae) and would love to see Mike's work. Also if you could PM me the contact info, I couldn't thank you enough.
  15. As I said, I have an untrained eye Nice to know about those early blades.
  16. To my untrained eye it looks like a toy or a cheap replica.

Here are some more pictures. On one side I have been able to see the boshi with sun light, not so much on the other side, but still there.
