  1. Thanks. I assumed that was the case, but had no idea what the marks stated. I can now feel certain of what I have.
  2. I doubt this is from Japan, but someone in this group may regognize it. Likely from China. 15" with lid, fine workmanship, but I understand that does not mean it is old. The smear on the bottom could be deceptive. I have not been able to identify the mark. Any help is appreciated.
  3. Thanks for the suggestion. Here is the back.
  4. I have had this buried in a drawer for perhaps 25 years and I am ready to let it go. I know it is by Hiroshige and is titled:The Röben Waterfall at Öyama in Sagami Province. I scanned it to provide the best image. My scanner only covers half, thus two images. Lots of damage to thje edges and the paper is very thin and pliable, much like tissue paper. I am certain it is old, but was this done during his lifetime or later? My neighbor, a beginning collector, would probably want to buy it. Is $500 too high or two low?
  5. I am seeking information on this silver box I have had for many years. A member of a Facebook group has suggested the stamp (top or bottom) indicates it was made by Komyo, who worked in several different shops. It is 4" X 5.5" X 1.75". Age? I has been suggested this is Meiji or Showa era. Any help is appreciated. Lee Laney Chico CA
