As i understand it, you are basically correct. Gendaito are for swords from end of Shinshinto to end of WW II (1945). Shinsakuto are swords made since 1954 (I think that is when sword making resumed in Japan) to date. Just sloppy terminology I guess. Rich S

Rich - Are the quality of the photos in the catalog any better than those online? Maybe my computer, but I can't see much detail in the online pictures. How much is the catalog with shipping to US? THanks Rich S
