Hi guys i posted a tsunagi in the translate section a couple of days ago which Guido kindly translated as Iga (no) Kami Kinmichi + length (2 shaku 3 (?) sun 6 bu), the other side read Yamanouch-ke denrai (heirloom of the Yamanouch family) ,Bazza asked for some pictures of the blade and koshirae so here they are enjoy Chris H

Hi his is my oldest piece a koto tanto, it has a nagasa of 368mm and the kasane is 6mm not sure of exact age. -

Hi Lance have never measured it till now i belive your correct, the nagasa is 538mm so i surpose its a o-wakizashi. Cheers Chris H

Hi guys just like to say thanks in advance for all the help you have been giving me, due to the lockdown restriction here in NZ I have had a lot of time on my hands which I have been using to try and improve my abilities at reading sword mei here's one I think I have managed to read in its entirety: Hoshu Ju Fujiwara Masayuki any thoughts on my reading much appreciated. cheers Chris H

Hi I have a hira sankaku yari that's out of polish that I have been trying to translate I think the first two kanji say kiyo tsugu but I can't seem to find the third one any help would be much appreciated cheers Chris

Hi, guys, I have been reading with interest the great information posted by Bruce and Nick Komiya and others about Rinji seishiki ( type 3) swords and came across a post that Bruce posted end of last year about a navy rinji model and was wondering if a sword my mate as currently selling fits the "last-ditch" rinji spec would be interested to hear your thoughts. Hi guys thanks for the input, I have looked online but have only seen examples of earlier mei will have to get back to my books and see if I can find some later examples. I thought it might be later as mei looks quite deep but as Alex pointed out the hamachi does look quite worn.Again many thanks for your thoughts Cheers Chris H
