  3. I bought it from a sword dealer at a SF Cow Palace Gun Show in the 80's, a small tanto, his stand was about 75 feet from the door, the dealers name might have been Rick, he was Japanese and a nice easy guy to deal with if you had the time, he was busy, he had a lot of swords. Thanks in advance. James
  4. 20 positive feedbacks, no sales, a Japanese looking sale format and from China no less, a no briner Adrian, i would bet on that one! hehe James
  5. Thanks guys, i appreciate your advice, i feel better knowing i was most likely right to not click that button. Regards, James
  6. I got them on Ebay, they where not listed in the right place, i got them for a song IMO. James
  7. I could have clicked the Buy it Now button, the auction lasted around 6 hours, now i would like to know if i missed out on a great deal or not? The seller only had 20 feedbacks and no sales, i emailed him for more pictures with two questions with no answer, so i didn't feel right about clicking that button. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :IT&ih=017 James
  8. I'm glad you posted this Andrew, i saw the auction and was wondering the same thing, can it be saved, at just over $2000, would it be worth putting maybe $2000 more into it make it look right with a reshaped tip and a polish? Or is that a pipe dream that none of us could guess since we do not have the sword in hand to know better or not? It looks real to me, but i am not a expert, so my guess is worthless more or less, less in most cases and that is why i am here after collecting Japanese swords since the 1980's no less, to learn more about the hobby i love. James
  9. A bit odd if you ask me with a $10,000 Buy it Now, but it's from a a known dealer and he said please do not bid. Anyway it's a nice sword IMO. http://cgi.ebay.com/Japanese-Samurai-Sw ... dZViewItem Regards, James
