I purchased one last year on ebay. Several experts have examined my sword and believe that the blade is early 1500's. My blade has three holes, so koshirae has been replaced several times. Anyone who attempts to evaluate your sword from a photograph is not doing you a favor. Don't judge the blade from the koshirae or signature. Get several experts to examine your blade in person. A true expert will not charge you for his opinion. A written appraisal, however, may cost you.
