    Tsuba "DRAGON"

Hi Vladimir, Nice tsuba! Definitely late work. Might be Waki Goto work.
  2. Hi, I would check and see if they offer insurance in the UK. I used to have them not I have it though another company that is specific to dealers. They might require photos. They do require a safe and monitored alarm system. Also do some research on safes because not all safes are created equal. Youtube has some videos on safe that go over what to look for. http://www.collectinsure.com/ Hope this helps!
  3. Looks ok and with and extra slip!
  4. Scratch the one I posted. I had one made to match it.

    Tradition & period

I think the first blade posted in this thread looks like an Echizen Rai Chiyozuru and as for period I would say late Kamakura/Nambokucho. Nice sword and it should easily paper in this condition.
  12. You would need better clearer photos of this tassel. Have the guy take his photos out side in the bright natural light on a blue background.
  13. Sorry it looks like a repro.
  14. Sorry it is a reproduction. So is the one in the group of tassels just posted.
  15. I would pass on it also.

    uchiko must die

On high end polished blades I use good quality uchiko only when absolutely necessary. I very softly put it on the blade. Most of the time I just use a microfiber cloth with the little fingers (which I sell) and just wipe the blade in one direction in a single wipe. It seems to lift stuff out of the blade. If there is higher humidity a little oil on the blade does not hurt. This has worked very well for me for many years. One other thing please dont have the blade re-polished!
  17. Very nice!

    Utsuri

    Very nice photo!
  19. I usually crack the end of the screw driver with my hammer to brake the rust if its sticking. I think one time I had to use a pin oilier to put a couple drops of penetrating oil down the sides. Good luck!
  20. Hi Gilles, I would love to see the rest of the sword! Thanks for sharing!
  21. Hi All, I'm looking for a matched fuchi for these. Thanks in advance! Bill Rannow Mpls, MN http://www.artswords.com

  24. The red and brown tassel looks good to me. The generals tassel also looks good.
  25. Hi All. The same guy selling the fake tassels is now selling a fake showa-to. Its a fairly convincing copy too. http://www.ebay.com/itm/HANDMADE-SAMURA ... 3a85e8cdf3
