  1. I got this one from Ed Marshall indeed Marcin
  2. My Tomita Sukehiro is a sword with a flamboyant hamon. It has some scratches and would benefit from a polish. However there is a lot to be enjoyed without. Date: koki ni sen roppyaku ni nen gatsu (1942) Nagasa: 68,58 cm Sori: 1,27 cm Sukehiro was trained by his grandfather Kato Sanekuni and worked as a Rikugun Jumei Tosho during WW2. He was rated 1 million yen. This sword is in need of a New home. It is priced at €2100,-
  3. Thanks looks like it is the same blade
  4. Can someone help me with a translation of this mei and possible information on the smith. It’s a Nagamaki with a 75cm nagasa. thanks in advance

  6. Zoheito, non traditional, mass produced blade (like the type 95) in good quality type 98 (suya shoten) mountings. Also mentioned on ohmura study net
  7. As secretary of the dutch token society i have acces to these books. So i can deliver. If anyone else is interested. Drop me a pb. Perhaps even with an interesting discount if you buy more than one.
  8. I found myself a blade by Akiyoshi which didn’t surface on this forum before (I believe). It has quite an active Hamon, lots of activity, clusters of nie, lots to study though taking good pictures is a challenge. The numbering might be interesting for @Bruce Pennington.
  9. It was a very nice weekend indeed and as Oli said, it was very nice to meet some people live. Our neighbors from Germany, people from Austria, Australia, Great Britain, Japan, the states. You guys know who you are We had some good conversations and fun.
  10. Thanks for your reply. And let me specify then, is there a possibility of finding this out since a mayor is a public figure. And is there a possibility of finding out more about said mayor. I know he was in office from 1942 till 1946
  11. Dear fellow sword enthousiasts, I am searching for extra information on this sword. Made by Imai Tsuguyoshi, by request of the city council of Maebashi for the major of the same city for an event. First, am I correct? Secondly who can provide me with more information on said major and for which event he was gifted this sword. Thanks in advance….
  12. I thought I’d show my recent acquisition. A special order tanto by Horii Hideaki
  13. Ah nice sword indeed, congratulations
