  12. Hi Chris, Yes. They are exactly the same. Hard to tell whether it is an imitation sword or not. Again, I have the same doubt on the fittings. The Mon plate (maruni daki myouga) looks worn and doesn't fit with the brand new fittings Ronnie

  16. This gendai sword is signed Tsukushi Suetsugu (Suetsugu SHIGEMITSU). Suetsugu Shigemitsu was awarded the honorary ranking 'Genro' by the Nihon Token Tanrenjo (NTT) and the Nihon Token Shinbunshi (NTS) in 1943. Among this small Genro group are the masters: Kasama Ikkansai Shigetsugu, Horii Toshitsugu, Gassan Sadakatsu, Miyaguchi Ikkansai Shigehiro, Watanabe Kanenaga, and Suetsugu Shigemitsu. The seppa, tsuba, etc. all have the same matching assembly numbers '216'. The nakago also has the assembly number '216' stamped on it. This sword has a fine sharkskin saya. This sword has a fine sarute. The blade measures 26 1/4 (66.3 cm). The hamachi/munemachi blade width measurement is especially wide in this fine sword, measuring almost 1 1/2" wide. The blade has no nicks and no pitting. The tsuka and fittings are in excellent condition. The fine sharkskin saya has only occasional lacquer chips. Usd2800(includes shipping fees)
