@Bruce Pennington @Kiipu Guys, here is a Star stamped Kaneoto兼音 in RS mount,no Ser#. 関住藤井兼音作 昭和十九年二月 1944 Feb. The signature looks different than his not dated Non-RJT work. -

That's the problem I am always aware. If there is also Kanji instead of English only would be much easier for people to know which smith.The same kanji can have a few different pronunciations. -

Thomas Why use 松 for 長野縣?Maybe because the well known 松本城? -

Still not sure what is that mark means.Could be like AlphaRaider said ,some kind of Buddhist character ,like 恒(永恒 Eternal,恒心 Perseverance) or 悟(领悟 Comprehend) or Korean character 알( 알다 Understand)?
