Star stamped Rinji ,June 1943,平松正知 Hiramatsu Masatomo MASATOMO (正知), Shōwa (昭和, 1926-1989), Ōsaka – “Masatomo” (正知), real name Hiramatsu Danji (平松団次), born October 27th 1901, he studued under Morita Masamichi (森田正道) and worked as rikugun-jumei-tōshō。 -

Yes, there are many factory-reworked Type 32, that's why we saw minty ones from time to time,a lot more than Type 95. -

Really wish they have the photo of the tang or written Kanji of the smith's name instead of English only. Kanenaga could be 兼永 or 包永。 -

I think the hat that guy wearing is not an official army cap. Just the Army-style 軍屬/civilian cap. Note the hats the two girls on the left are wearing, the photo was taken in 1943 at 福岡。

鈴,one of the inspection mark for Type 30 bayonet, this one could be the inspection team’s (鈴木) name. There are other kanjis as well,菅,石,原,松,齋etc. @Bruce Penningtonthe 和 mark on the type 30 bayonet has no connection with the ones on the 偽軍刀. There are also the W mark and big M an mark on the pommel of the early type30, and it doesn't look like the M/W mark on the Guntos.
