  1. I can't seem to respond to each post individually so I will say it here...Thanks very much for your amazing insights mecox, Bugyotsuji, John C, DTM72, and of course Bruce Pennington. BTW I did put the question in another thread, will send any updates to this thread. Thank you again!! James
  2. Hello, I have been given great analysis and opinions on this stamp but wondering what this thread has to say about it. TY, James
  3. Hello and thanks again for those who responded earlier. I never did get a definitive answer of what this stamp is. There is no "sho" mark that I can see but there is an inspection mark and signature which I understood to be of "Seki ju Kanemura Kanetatsu Saku" . The more I look at it there are some characters missing and others not present on signatures I have found so this is perplexing. Any insights would be appreciated. TY, James
  4. Thank you Gentlemen, much appreciated, James fit4life
  5. I inherited this sword from my grandfather, I have been unable to locate any other sword with actual ray or shark skin on the handle and I cannot find out what the writing is on the tang. Can anyone help? I am including some photos. Thank you!!!
