  1. Friends- I found a local matchlock for sale, was wondering if anyone can tell me more about it. Links attached and thanks in advance. http://www.vaguntrader.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/1395803/Re:_Japanese_matchlock,_origin#Post1395803 Paul F.
  2. I would say that it's definitely warped / bent. Not sure if that's an issue or not.
  3. I will post some better pictures today.
  4. So this is a handmade sword and not a mass produced military one? I state that because I couldn't see any grain on it which made me think it was a tempered military one. That being said, I don't have much experience with the military period swords.
  5. I don't know much about this sword and am open to any suggestions to point me in the right direction I can take more pictures if needed. Thanks!

There are additional scratches in the tang near the original horimono. Not sure what is. I wonder if the price point is reasonable?

Interesting. How would that impact the value based on what's asked?

Sirs- What are your thoughts on this? I am considering picking this up but a few items in the horimono in the tang caught some concerns. I'm open to all comments. Thanks, http://www.nihontoantiques.com/project/name-sword-fss-687-naginata/
