  10. Hi. Maybe not the right part of the forum to post this question but... One of my newly acquired Shinsakuto's tsuka is stuck. Not sure why. I had took apart the sword prior and fitment was perfect. very well done tsuka. Anyway, in state of panic I order a Kozuchi from Tozando but this tool is made for shirasaya. On one of the FB group I'm part of a gentleman posted a pic of a different tool that looks to be specifically made to loosen tsuka for swords in koshirae. Gentleman that posted a pic of it did not know where to get one. I was hoping if anyone here knows where to purchase such a thing? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.
  11. thank you so much. cool. my tsuba was made by Toshi san. thanks again everyone. oh, and sorry for the Olympics spew. Been watching the Olympics nonstop and I'm all in the spirit... plus perhaps too much coffee...

I know it's hard to read due to crappy pic and hammer mark/decorations around it. sorry. Thank you.

  17. would these two cover everything or is there more volumes? http://www.lulu.com/shop/markus-sesko/k ... 00238.html http://www.lulu.com/shop/markus-sesko/s ... 00250.html
  18. I don't understand why an auction house rep. wouldn't know to wear a glove at the very least, when handling a blade... that would upset me very much. anyway, would Noxon be a feasible option? I used it to clean off some rust spots on a production sword I used to own and it worked wonders. Not sure how safe it is on a Nihonto but I got the stuff because I heard some Nihonto owners used the stuff on their swords...
  19. Ken, thank you for the reply. I know nothing about this technology but recently saw a 3D print dress made for Dita Von Teese. Very detailed, free flowing, ect. color(granted black) and surface texture and things looked so life like... I thought perhaps the technology had advanced more then it has... anyway, thanks again for the reply.
  20. would this mean in the future it would be possible to order a 3D copy of some of our favorite blades for study?

    In your dreams!

I'm reminded of that scene from Indiana Jones... flings sword around... bang! I like blades from the warring era.(made with traditional materials, traditional methods) not sure if gendai blades are "pinnacle" but I do like that it's made with the "fighting spirit", granted it was against us.
